A neuroscientist designed high heels that are better for your feet — and your brain

I didn’t set out to disrupt fashion.
I set out to make shoes that didn’t hurt.
But the more I designed, the more I realized:
The pain wasn’t just physical. It was baked into the way shoes were made, marketed, and expected to be worn.
This week, my Steffie’s story landed a major press feature - The NY Post! - and what moved me most when reading it wasn’t just seeing my product in print.
It was seeing the mission behind it, fully named.
Yes, I’m proud of the RoamFoam we invented to make heels actually wearable.
But I’m most proud that the message landed with the reporter and the publicaiton:
That when fashion stops hurting, it stops distracting.
That when design prioritizes comfort and aesthetics, women don’t have to choose.
That when we feel good, we can focus on everything else we care about.
Thank you to everyone who's been cheering this on, and especially to those who tried the shoes, felt the difference, and told someone else.
This isn't just about footwear. It's about what happens when we expect more from it.
